Padel Speak exists for one reason:

Provide padel players with accurate, up-to-date, and verifiable information.

Rankings, results, equipment, clubs….

This page explains who writes, how, and within what limits.

Who writes for Padel Speak?

Arnaud Gélébart. An author, not an anonymous editorial team.

I’ve been playing tennis since the early ’90s (highest ranking: 1/6) and switched to padel in 2019; I’m an amateur competitor with a highest ranking of 2,500 .

Each article is signed and dated. No content is published under a pseudonym or a made-up author’s name.

4 Principles

  1. The player before the partner. An article serves first and foremost the person who reads it, never the brand mentioned.
  2. A number rather than an adjective. Weight in grams, price in euros, date of measurement. There’s no such thing as an “excellent racket” without the data to back it up.
  3. One source per statement. Rankings, results, prize money, tournament draw: the source is cited or linked.
  4. What is not known is revealed. An untested product, an unconfirmed date, missing information: it’s all in the article.

How an Article Is Produced

3 steps, always the same:

  1. Data collection: official data, manufacturer technical specifications, prices collected in stores, field research.
  2. Verification: Each figure is cross-checked against its original source before publication. Any figure that cannot be verified is not published.
  3. Update: The rankings, calendar, and promo code pages are updated monthly. The update date is displayed.

Where does the information come from?

  • Rankings and licenses: French Tennis Federation and Ten’Up.
  • Results and professional draws: Premier Padel, International Padel Federation, tournament organizers.
  • Product specifications: official brand data sheets, supplemented by measurements taken on the unit tested.
  • Prices: Retrieved from online retailers, with the date of retrieval.
  • On the field: players, coaches, and club managers encountered during competitions.

Anonymous sources are the exception.

When information comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous, the article states this.

How Products Are Rated

Each review includes a rating out of 10 and at least two points of weakness. There’s no such thing as a flawless racket.

The rating is based on measurable criteria: weight, balance, shape, materials, observed price, and intended skill level.

It is not contingent on any trade agreement.

Details about the site’s funding and the complete list of partner brands can be found on the ” Our Partners” page.

Brand Independence

  • No partner proofreads or approves an article before it is posted online.
  • No published rating has been modified at the request of a brand.
  • A product received for review is treated just like any other product we review. Free shipping does not influence the rating, and this is noted in the article.

Uses of Artificial Intelligence

AI is a production tool, never a creator.

It is used for: research, formatting, spell-checking , translation, and processing large volumes of data (rankings, calendars, results).

It never assigns a rating, a comparative ranking, or a recommendation.

Every published page is reviewed and approved by a human, who remains responsible for its accuracy.

Errors and Corrections

A factual error is corrected as soon as it is reported and verified.

  • Minor correction (error, broken link, outdated price): corrected directly; update date updated.
  • Substantive correction (incorrect figure, erroneous result, revised note): corrected and noted in the article.
  • Obsolete article: updated or removed—never left online as is.

What Padel Speak Doesn’t Do

  • No sponsored articles or advertorials disguised as reviews.
  • No false sense of urgency: no artificial countdown, no made-up inventory.
  • Do not display a promo code as active if it is no longer active.
  • No made-up reviews.
